MakoTrac is the only kart track in the whole world to offer its visitors the use of a diesel-powered kart. The chassis frame has been slightly extended to accommodate the engine behind the seat. The engine is a German Hatz, modified for MakoTrac for use in race karts. It reaches speeds of up 65km/h and is preferred choice for technically minded drivers wishing to experience something different. The engine is a proven performer, having attained several records, e.g. a long distance record of 1600km per 1 litre of diesel fuel as well as completion of a 700 mile endurance race in Europe. The engine’s noise emission is lower than a 9.0hp Honda engine.
