Introducing Formula Vee Racing to MakoTrac
MakoTrac is proud to announce the arrival of Formula Vee single-seater open-wheeler racing in North Queensland.
Commencing in March 2008, MakoTrac will feature two single-seater Formula Vee chassis, equipped with 1200cc and 1600cc VW boxer air-cooled engines, driven by 4 gears and a manual clutch.
Formula Vee is one of the oldest, most successful and affordable open-wheel racing categories throughout Australia and the world. Formula Vee is a CAMS- supervised racing category. Both MakoTrac Formula Vee chassis are modified and adapted to MakoTrac conditions (tyres and rev limitation).
The 1200cc and 1600cc cars can achieve maximum speeds of 145km/h and 160km/h respectively.
Use of the new Formula Vee racing cars is limited to experienced and qualified MakoTrac Star-graded drivers who have completed at least three sessions in a Silver Star go kart or progressed successfully through the Weekend Formula Vee Package course (refer below).
A single session of 10 laps on the main track costs $200.00. A three-session package is available for $500.00
MakoTrac will also offer a Weekend Formula Vee Package which will include a 2-day race school ranging from 1-Star race karts to driving a single-seater Formula Vee race car. The package includes accommodation in Mareeba as well as BBQ lunch and dinner as well as non-alcoholic drinks.

Photo documentation will be recorded by MakoTrac staff throughout the
course and will be provided at no charge.
Minimum 6 and maximum 10 participants per course.
Price: $1850.00 (incl. GST).
Price inclusive of 1 night accommodation (3.5 star rating) in Mareeba as
well as 2 x lunch, 1 x dinner, 1 x breakfast. Soft drinks included.
A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required upon booking. Balance
payable prior to course commencement. No refunds upon early termination
or non-completion. Payment deems the registered participant to have
accepted all terms & conditions and all regulations covering all activities at
MakoTrac Mareeba (refer www.makotrac.com).
MakoTrac reserves the right to exclude any participant at any time and for
any reason (no refund or part refund).
